Aloha! Welcome to our Sociology page. Sociology is one of the newest studies within the social science field, and as our world grows and changes with new technologies, larger populations, and new social groups, many new concerns and issues are developing and affecting our world in ways that may hinder or assist human progress. It is the hope of Sociology to identify causes for social issues so that we can develop theories to help solve those issues, through educating individuals to positivly socialize our youth. Understanding why people behave the way that they do in groups, rather than psychologically (individually), we begin to understand the culture in which we are living.

We are currently the only school in Clay County offering Sociology as a Social Studies elective, and we have plans to expand the developing program to include Anthropology as a sister course. I am very excited about the suveys that we have planned this quarter and to see the research results for each students chosen final project topic.

Please give me a call or email me if you have any questions or concerns. Click on the CONTACT ME tab above for both my classroom number and email address. Thank you for making a positive impact in our community by caring about your dependents (and / or your own) education.
